After graduating from San Jose State University with a degree in Industrial Design, Jack flew to Germany to experience European design. He launched his career with a job in the Black Forest at “frogdesign”. After returning to California, he set up “The Eikan Group”, which built product models and prototypes for Apple , Xerox, Worlds of Wonder, and many other top companies. Then came setting up the first American branch of “frogdesign”.
After years of experience, he developed the Hoke2 brand and started designing high end table top products that sold in museum shops and high end gift shops. Next came expanding into the hum-drum persoanl care market with a line of innovative, naturally based shaving products. Many of the Hoke 2 products are included in the “Smithsonian’s Permanent Design Collection” and have received several international design awards.
Ready for a change and a fresh challenge in a completely different category, he decided to design and build some stools. Everyone has stools in their kitchens, cabins, or man caves, but it seemed like there was a void for a new clean, and minimalist designed heavy duty bar stool. So, here we are with the Willie Jack rebar stool.
